A collaboration of EMST with the “Help at Home” program of the Municipality of Athens “Company with contemporary art” is a special program that brings our elderly fellow citizens and people with mobility difficulties into contact with art. It gives the opportunity to senior citizens to visit the Museum either in person or with the help of technology in their space, if they have difficulty moving. It started in October 2022 and is implemented by the Education department of the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the “Help at Home” of the Municipality of Athens. The “Help at Home” program of the Municipality of Athens aims to provide social care by specialists and qualified staff to non-self-supporting citizens, the elderly and people with disabilities, giving priority to those who live alone. “Help at Home” includes counseling and psychological support, family help and companionship.
