For the third consecutive year the intercultural tournament basketball of the nonprofit organization Generation 2.0 For Rights Equality & Diversity gathered young Greek immigrants at the sport facilities of the municipality of Athens, in order to promote multiculturalism and create a dialogue on the social integration of people with non-Greek origin. Because of the critical timing, the tournament also included refugees temporarily residing in Athens and its surroundings. The tournament focuses on the integration processes of young people from different parts of the world, while parallel music events create a festive atmosphere.

To conduct the tournament the production team worked with the Red Cross and the Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens for the provision of sports facilities in the municipality. The costs were covered by private donations. A total of 40 teams and 170 players participated.

By bringing together people from different cultural backgrounds who might not have met otherwise, Generation Got Game cultivates the creation of a new multicultural culture, promotes equality, and thus fights racism and discrimination.
