“Companionship with contemporary art”
A collaboration between EMST and the "Help at Home" program of the Municipality of Athens
“Companionship with Contemporary Art” is a special program that brings our elderly fellow citizens and people with mobility difficulties into contact with art. It enables fellow senior citizens from friendship clubs to visit the Museum either in person or with the help of technology in their area, if they have difficulty moving. It started in October 2022 and is implemented by the Education Department of the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the “Home Help” of the Municipality of Athens.
The “Home Help” program of the Municipality of Athens aims to provide social care by specialized scientists and trained executives to non-self-helping citizens, elderly people and people with disabilities, giving priority to those who live alone. “Home Help” includes counseling and psychological support, family assistance and companionship.
