With youth unemployment in Greece exceeding 50% in recent years and the prolonged crisis in the country causing multiple social problems, the development of social entrepreneurship is imperative to address major contemporary challenges in the country. The establishment of the Incubator program for social enterprises by the Solidarity Mission organization aims at reducing youth unemployment through the development of social economy.

The social enterprise incubator program of Solidarity Mission supports unemployed persons aged 18-40 to establish social enterprises and implement social innovation initiatives through which social problems are addressed. The incubator provides consulting and support services, useful for the design and implementation of new social enterprises. The program lasts for five months.

Advisers and teachers of the incubator are volunteers, while the participation of the beneficiaries is offered for free.
